Hi! I’m Annabel.

Based in the heart of South Yorkshire

Available for events, gigs, parties - and lessons

With 15 years’ experience teaching saxophone and performing professionally, I help students of all ages and levels discover their voice on the instrument.

What I offer

  • Live sax performance for your event - either with my own PA or with a DJ

  • Woodwind lessons delivered in my dedicated space at home.

My background

  • Grade 8 ABRSM at 18

  • University study in saxophone performance

  • Postgraduate in teaching music

  • Experience across rockabilly, big bands, function bands, solo work and wedding/DJ performance

  • Trained in classical and big band traditions, then developed stagecraft through live gigs

Why it matters

Real gig experience shapes my teaching. I choose repertoire and techniques that are musical and performance-ready, so students learn skills they can use on stage, in exams and for personal enjoyment. I love teaching, and it’s important to me that students learn music technically, with musicality and with intent to perform too.

Lessons

  • One-to-one lessons for beginners to advanced players, drawing from my experience and knowledge

  • Bespoke lesson plans: tone, improvisation, jazz, classical, exam and pop repertoire, or preparing for gigs and recording,

  • Friendly, patient approach with clear progress goals and performance coaching if you’d like to play at events.
